To understand in what situations you would use the will-future, take a look at the examples below:

Young man: "Wait a second, I'll help you to carry them!"
"I want to go hiking tomorrow. I really hope it won't rain."
Generally the will-future is used to express rather uncertain predicts about the future. If you have a definitive plan, you use the going-to-future
In the exercise below, you have to fill in the gaps with the correct forms of the will-future.
Generell wird das Will-Futur eher für unsichere Voraussagen über die Zukunft verwendet. Wenn man einen festen Plan hat, benutzt man das Going-to Futur
